Name That Movie

Would you like to play?
Have you already noticed that we are shifting back to illustration? Earlier if you or your business wanted to stand out, you would look for a professional photographer. Nowadays you will look for a professional illustrator.

In 1943 National Geographic published a photograph on its cover for the first time. The focus shifted to real life instead of its imaginary reference.

However, now it seems that people are quite keen on training their imagination again. And if you're among them, there is a perfect exercise for you - «Name that Movie» - a book of black and white illustrations of famous films made by illustrator Paul Rogers.

On the one hand, Rogers offers you to guess an encoded film presented with six recognizable and not so much illustrated references. On the other hand, when you look at them, they start to transform into corresponding shots from a film, which you saw, or you start to imagine what these shots could be, if you didn't see the film.

When you look at a photograph, there is no much room left for imagination. You just need to perceive and adapt to an author's vision. When you look at an illustration, you have an opportunity to do creative mental work and imagine some sort of a final result, and become a co-creator in a way. And this is already a good bait for customers!

So far, can you name this movie?
